Caboolture Hospital is a Public hospital in Caboolture. Caboolture Hospital is a fully accredited surgical and medical hospital situated in the outer Northern reaches of Brisbane - at the southern end of the beautiful Sunshine Coast. Caboolture Private is a Preferred – Tier 1 Department of Veterans Affairs accredited hospital which allows Veterans to have immediate access to the facilities without, in most cases, the need for prior approval.
This hospital has 43 beds, 3 fully equipped operating theatres, a 12 chair Day Procedure Unit and a comfortable day oncology unit. The Hospital is collocated with Caboolture Public Hospital. Caboolture Private has leading Specialists consulting in major disciplines, providing an excellent level of clinical care. Patients can have their own choice of Specialist, receive consultations in the onsite consulting suites and have access to private hospital accommodation, all in one central location.
The Caboolture Historical Village is situated on 4 hectares (about 12 acres) of land just north of Caboolture town centre on the old Bruce Highway. It is listed as the Number One Tourist destination in the region.
The dream of preserving our local heritage started with the formation of the Caboolture Historical Society in 1959. The first building arrived 20 years later when the old Caboolture Shire Council Chambers was moved to the site. The Abbey Museum of Art and Archaeology, is an Australian public museum dedicated to the preservation and display of antiquities, fine art, archaeology and cultural heritage. Situated in Caboolture, Queensland, it opened in 1986.[1]
Displaying a unique collection of tools, weapons, pottery, ornaments, furniture and other artefacts,[2] the Abbey collection spans through prehistoric hunters; the age of bronze and gold; great civilisations of Egypt, Mesopotamia and Greece; the Roman Empire; medieval knights, plagues and illuminated manuscripts; Renaissance Europe; and art from India and the Far East.[1]
The museum is the heir to the collections of the Abbey Folk Park (1934–1945) at Park Road, New Barnet; Great Britain's first open-air Folk Museum,[3][4][5][6] and has been recognised as a nationally significant heritage collection.[7]
